Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai
The Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Resort & Residences in Dubai is scheduled to open in February 2025. The hotel is part of a trilogy of ocean-inspired hotels in Dubai, along with the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s exterior is designed to resemble a futuristic super yacht, and the hotel is set on an exclusive peninsula.
The property will house 386 rooms and suites, four penthouses, and 83 luxury hotel apartment suites, alongside state-of-the-art amenities including a three-storey spa, an 82-berth marina, and an infinity pool. There will be ten dining options, including The Cullinan, a luxury steakhouse, and KIRA, which will offer a fusion of Japanese-Mediterranean flavours.
Four Seasons Resort Mykonos
The popular Greek island of Mykonos will welcome a new Four Seasons escape this year with 94 luxurious rooms, suites, and villas.
The Resort will also offer a variety of restaurant and bar options designed by Rockwell Group, such as an al fresco pool-side Italian venue, a modern interpretation of a Mykonian kafeneio, and a beach experience harmoniously integrated with its environment and celebrating its natural beauty.
Additional Resort features will include a relaxed infinity swimming pool overlooking the Aegean Sea, a spa with several treatment rooms and fitness facilities as well as several indoor and outdoor venues for meetings, events and celebrations alike. For active groups, the property will offer boating adventures, water sports and additional recreational activities.
Mandarin Oriental, Vienna
Located in Vienna’s district one, just steps away from the city’s major attractions, the much-anticipated Mandarin Oriental, Vienna is scheduled to open this summer.
The hotel, which is housed in a heritage building that originally served as the city’s commercial law court from 1912 to 2003, will comprise 151 rooms and suites surrounding a courtyard in the centre of the property, incorporating a restaurant, bar and outdoor garden.
It will also feature Spa at Mandarin Oriental offering a series of treatment rooms, a swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness centre. A range of adaptable banqueting and meeting spaces will be available for events.
Rosewood Amsterdam
Rosewood will make its debut in the Netherlands this year with the opening of a luxury property housed in the former Palace of Justice, a building of great architectural, historical and social significance that overlooks the Prinsengracht (the Prince’s Canal).
Rosewood Amsterdam will offer 134 rooms and suites, with many boasting views across the two adjoining canals. All public spaces will overlook the three distinct, internal landscaped courtyards of the building, imagined by renowned landscape designer, Piet Oudolf. Internationally renowned for his work on the High Line and The Battery in New York.
Amenities will include three restaurants, and bars; Asaya Spa offering ayurvedic treatments; a wellness and fitness centre; an indoor swimming pool and multiple event spaces and meeting rooms, including a ballroom.
Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, Florence
This ultra luxurious new retreat, set within pristine gardens on a rolling hill on the northside of Florence’s historic city centre, is taking group bookings and events from March 2025.
Featuring 83 rooms, an original chapel, two restaurants, and a signature bar, the property sits on a hilltop overlooking the Duomo di Firenze and the Tuscan countryside. Dining options include a destination restaurant, a glass-enclosed garden room set amongst olive trees for daytime dining, a sophisticated bar and cigar lounge set in the former academic admissions office, and an outdoor pool bar offering light bites and cocktails.
The property will also boast an on-site enoteca offering tastings of the finest wines in Italy. For those looking for an authentic Tuscan culinary experience, tastings, private dinners and cooking classes will be available in the signature restaurant. For meetings and celebrations, a dedicated meeting room will be complemented by the theatre and chapel, which will double as space for events, art installations and workshops.
Gran Hotel Taoro, Tenerife
Gran Hotel Taoro, one of Spain’s oldest grand dames is set to reopen in Tenerife in April 2025. Located in Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of Tenerife, the property will offer 199 rooms, gourmet restaurants, terraces, flexible meeting and event space, three pools and the Sandára Wellness Center, and a Congress Centre annex to the hotel. First opened in 1890, a heritage listed building, the hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation to restore and reimagine the property for future generations.
It will provide an ideal base for meeting and incentive groups looking to explore all the Canary Island has to offer, with its all-year-round good climate, spectacular coastlines, Mount Teide National Park, whale-watching, historical cities, golf and much more.
1 Hotel Tokyo
SH Hotels & Resorts, the sustainable hotel brand management company, is set to open 1 Hotel Tokyo this year in collaboration with Mori Trust, one of Japan’s leading property developers. The 211-room hotel will be in the buzzing Akasaka district, serving as an anchor to Mori Trust’s Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project, which includes retail and office space.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed into a tranquil space that blends moss-covered boulders, and plant-lined walls. On the 38th floor, the main lobby is a peaceful retreat with a sculptural stone water feature that brings the outdoors inside, ample greenery, a ceiling that mimics the raked sand patterns of a Zen Garden, and city views.
The main restaurant features details like locally sourced stepping stones that emulate a Japanese garden pathway, an open kitchen, multiple private dining areas, and views of the Imperial Palace. There’s also a spa, multiple hammams, a fitness centre, indoor pool, and 473 square meters of meeting and event space.
The Lake Como EDITION
Marriott is set to bring its EDITION Hotels brand to Lake Como this year. The Lake Como EDITION will offer 145 luxurious rooms, including two penthouse suites, a lively lobby bar, a floating pool, and multiple restaurants and bars overlooking Lake Como with breath-taking views of the Bellagio mountains.
The property is a 19th century building located on the western shore of the prestigious Lake Como, a short drive from Central Milan. It will be converted into a luxury lifestyle destination that brings new life to Lake Como while honouring the intimate history of the building and its rich heritage.
