With less than a month to go until the second edition of X: by micebook, we have limited spaces left for agency and corporate event buyers to join us in Andalucía, Spain, from 1–4 October.
We’re also excited to reveal that professional explorer and adventurer Lucy Shepherd will deliver the keynote at this year’s event, in partnership with Speakers Corner.
Shepherd, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the youngest ever elected council member of the Scientific Exploration Society, has undertaken expeditions to some of the most remote and challenging environments on the planet, including a 50-day journey through uncharted Amazon terrain for Channel 4’s Secret Amazon: Into the Wild.
At X, she will deliver Explorer’s Mindset: When the Map Runs Out, drawing on her experiences to explore what happens when the plan stops working and the way forward isn’t clear.
Through stories from her expeditions, Shepherd will look at how to build teams with different perspectives, make decisions without having all the information, develop resilience, adapt without losing sight of the destination and use optimism as a practical tool for moving forward.
The session reflects the ethos behind X: by micebook, which was created to encourage event professionals to embrace curiosity, challenge expectations and step outside their comfort zones.
This year’s event will take place at OKU Andalusia, a contemporary beachfront retreat on Spain’s southern coast, with a three-day programme built around the three X pillars: X-periment, X-celerate and X-plore.
We’ve partnered with Turismo Andaluz, Visit Costa del Sol, Fairmont La Hacienda, SO/ Sotogrande, Accor Luxury & Lifestyle and Maximice to showcase Andalucía through a programme of unexpected experiences, destination discovery and curated connections.
The inaugural X: by micebook took place in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, last October, bringing together 100 event buyers and suppliers for an immersive journey filled with teasers, surprises and experiences designed to challenge the traditional hosted buyer format.
With just weeks to go until we do it all again in Andalucía, there are only a handful of buyer places remaining.
