Event profs are being offered a unique opportunity to meet, make connections and immerse themselves in an array of authentic local experiences in the magnificent mountain surrounds of Courmayeur, Italy next month.

Connections, the global networking and event organiser for senior decision makers of luxury travel, is hosting this year’s Meetings edition event in Valle d’Aosta Courmayeur on 15-18 November 2019.

Dedicated to professionals in the high-end meetings and incentives sector, Connections Meetings aims to challenge the traditional industry model by creating a more immersive experience that lead to meaningful and long-lasting business relationships.

Delegates attending will take part in one-to-one meetings which are enhanced with local, authentic experiences, such as wood carving, a masterclass in making La Grolla (a local coffee drink with grappa), as well as meetings on the terrace with breath taking views of Mont Blanc.

Additional experiences include free climbing, ice skating, slack Line and balance, Skyway Experience, polenta-making and wine tasting.

The event will welcome a selected group of up to 80 decision makers in Valle d’Aosta and connect global event planners with suppliers that offer innovative event services, including Design Hotels, Barcelona Resort SL, Chelsea Football Club and Destination One Greece.

On the education side, ConnecTALKS sessions will explore smart mobility, a fast-developing trend within the meetings and incentives industry. The focus will be on connected ‘smart cities’ and door-to-event planning.

Andrea Tassini, Co-Founder of Allure Alps who has been appointed as the official destination management company for the event commented: “We are very excited about organising the logistics for Connections Meetings here in Valle d’ Aosta. We have years of experience when it comes to creating unique and inspiring events and when combined with the Connections way of business, we are certain that this will be a recipe for much positive business.”

The event will also include networking lunches and dinners, including a closing dinner at the historic Castello Reale di Sarre. Built in 1710 on the ruins of a fortress mentioned as early as 1242, having passed through various hands, the castle was purchased by the King of Italy Victor Emanuel II, who renovated it and used it during hunting expeditions in Val d’Aosta.
