Project Worldwide has restructured its global leadership team, promoting Edward Scott to president and creating a new global chief creative officer role as part of a wider organisational realignment.
Scott, who has served as chief operating officer for both Project Worldwide and experiential agency GPJ, succeeds Matt Statman as president. GPJ has begun the search for a new global COO.
Statman will become Project Worldwide’s first global chief creative officer while returning his operational focus to Motive, the agency he founded, where he continues as CEO. In the newly created network-wide role, he will focus on strengthening creative collaboration across Project Worldwide’s portfolio of agencies.
The agency alliance has also appointed John Higgins, CEO of OS Studios, as chief growth officer, responsible for driving collaboration across the network and supporting integrated client opportunities.
Other changes include Marcelle Hampton moving into the full-time role of chief of staff to the CEO, while Ben Taylor becomes managing director, APAC, alongside his existing responsibilities as regional CEO for Project Worldwide.
Chris Meyer, global CEO of Project Worldwide, said the restructure was designed to ensure the organisation remained aligned with changing client needs and the evolving marketing landscape.
“Our primary responsibility to our people and our clients is to ensure our operating model stays fully aligned with where the industry is heading,” he said. “By strategically concentrating our executive talent, we are ensuring Project remains agile, client-centric and ready to capitalise on market opportunity.”
Incoming president Scott added: “Stepping into this new capacity is an incredible opportunity to globally scale our offerings by removing friction, accelerating collaboration and delivering seamless, integrated value for our clients without diluting the unique agency cultures that define us.”
Project Worldwide comprises 13 independent agencies across 45 offices worldwide, employing more than 2,300 people.
