micebook recently brought together a group of 20 senior corporate event heads for an engaging and productive session tackling the topic of managing high performing teams.
The second meeting for our growing Corporate Collective community was hosted at 1 Mayfair London, and senior buyers were given a tour of the green and sustainably focused property before settling down to a thought-provoking presentation by Toby Bassford, founder & managing director at Tillon Group.
The session focused on team performance, emphasising the importance of aligning people capability with business execution.
Bassford shared insights on the significance of psychological safety, effective communication, and trust in high-performing teams. The “Five Voices” psychometric tool was highlighted for understanding team dynamics.
The discussion also covered the importance of clear vision, mission, and strategy, and the use of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for tracking progress. Practical tools like structured meetings and transparent communication channels were recommended to enhance team alignment and execution.
Corporate Collective is a collaborative membership and community group designed for senior corporate event leaders to connect, learn, and grow together. We host quarterly in-person meetings, with our next Corporate Collective meeting expected to take place at micebook EXPO on 27-28 January.
