Matt Curran, director of Chew, has become a member of the UNICEF UK Event Committee.
UNICEF is the world’s leading children’s organisation, working across more than 190 countries to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children and build a better world for everyone.
For over 75 years, UNICEF has been ensuring more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated, and protected than any other organisation. UNICEF influence laws and policies to ensure children’s rights are built on secure, durable foundations. The events Curran will be supporting aim to raise as much critical funding for children around the world as possible.
“I feel privileged and enthusiastic to be joining the UNICEF UK Event Committee alongside five other wonderful individuals. This is crucially important work, and I hope the community we have built through Chew can help us to make a difference to children across the world,” he said.
The first of these events will be an experiential gala event taking place on World Children’s Day (20 November 2024), at an immersive London venue.
The gala aims to raise as much funds as possible for UNICEF, unite UNICEF UK corporate partners, philanthropists and Ambassadors in an unforgettable evening of art, storytelling, fundraising, and music.
In 2025 and 2026 UNICEF UK has ambitious plans to expand this to a multi-day experience that could engage families, schools, businesses and decision makers.
