The Meetings Show’s 2020 education programme will feature a global line up of expert speakers aimed at helping event professionals to navigate these challenging times, including headliner Andy King of Fyre Festival.

The virtual event, taking place on 19-21 October, will see King discuss all things Fyre, reputation management and recovery, becoming a viral sensation, the importance of sustainable events, and of course…his willingness to do ‘whatever it takes’!

The session will include a Q&A, so get your thinking caps on and you’ll be able to submit your questions for Andy nearer the time.

The Meetings Show’s event director Jack Marczewski said: “Our industry has been facing some huge challenges in light of the pandemic, so over the last six months we have been continually consulting with industry professionals to ensure we deliver an education programme that directly meets those changing needs.”

The three-day programme also includes sessions in areas such as career development, future trends, effective use of technology, measuring ROI as well as event design and formats, creative thinking and sustainability that will be streamed both live and on-demand, with many offering the chance to pose questions and interact.

Meeting Design Institute President Maarten Vanneste will deliver several sessions focused around techniques for designing interactive and effective online and hybrid meetings, while The Meetings Design Lab will tackle the topic of ‘Getting speakers ready for online delivery’.

Join Event Tech Founder Dr James Morgan for his yearly round up of the latest event technology ideas and applications. In this popular multi-media session, James will explore the latest event technology that will increase audience engagement, planning and production efficiencies as well as enhance sales and marketing functions.

Find out ‘Everything you wanted to know about ROI’ in an interactive masterclass about designing better meetings and proving the value afterwards with Event ROI Institute Managing Director Elling Hamso.

And hear from panellists including The Delegate Wranglers Founder & Director Neil Thompson and London & Partners Head of Business Events Paul Black in a session on ‘Industry fortitude in the face of adversity’. They will share valuable insights on how they have re-skilled, launched and adapted to do things differently and what have been their most successful achievements and proud moments.
