In a city of artists and globally renowned museums, it takes something pretty phenomenal to make an impact – and the Atelier des Lumières in Paris has done exactly that.
The cavernous venue’s opening exhibition offers visitors a fully immersive walk through the works of Gustav Klimt and his contemporaries of the Viennese art scene.
Curated to mark the centenary of the painter’s death and that of Egon Schiele, their works have been transformed across this former foundry’s walls through the use of projections and lighting. A music score has been created to add to the experience.
Visitors can journey through the past one hundred years of Viennese painting with a presentation of the portraits, landscapes, gilding and colours that revolutionised the art scene at the turn of the century.
Produced by Culturespaces, a private cultural operator specialising in the management of monuments, museums, art centres, temporary exhibitions, and immersive digital exhibitions, this is set to be the hottest ticket of the year. The exhibition runs until 11 November 2018.
