With a sharp increase in British tourists to Jordan, Mister Micebook is joining the throng…we check out four new hotel openings in Jordan.
When Easyjet launched a new route to Aqaba, the arrivals from the UK were set to increase dramatically and this is due to augment further with the new marketing initiative around the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba. And when Mister Micebook’s favourite band Coldplay choose the destination as the launch base for their new album, his trip was firmly planned.
After touching down in Amman, he’ll head straight to the new St Regis Amman, which features 260 rooms, suites and apartments overlooking the city. The public spaces hint at Jordan’s Bedouin culture while dining options include Tamara for Levantine cuisine and Mercado Andaluz which offers Andalusian dishes. The Iridium Spa features seven treatment suites while events can take place in the Astor Ballroom or four smaller meeting rooms.
While in town, he’ll also take a peek at the W Hotel Amman, which opened last year. Nestled in Amman’s financial district, amid traditional markets and ancient ruins, feature four restaurants, 280 rooms including 44 suites, a gym where guests can enjoy yoga on the sun terrace, spa and outdoor heated pool.
Next stop for Mister Micebook is stunning Aqaba where no opulence has been spared at the Al Manara Hotel Saraya Aqaba, a Luxury Collection hotel by Marriott International – the 207 rooms are the epitome of elegance. And there’s always the opportunity for a hard hat tour, with the Westin Aqaba set for a 2020 launch.
Located on Jordan’s southernmost tip on the Red Sea, The Westin Saraya Aqaba will feature 298 rooms, four restaurants, health and fitness club, spa, two swimming pools and a private beach when it opens in January.
