With ski season firmly in sight, Madame Micebook can’t wait to try out some of the upcoming properties making their debut.
Leading the list will be Le Coucou Méribel, opening on 12 December 2019. The hotel is part of the super chic Maisons Pariente – a new luxury collection of boutique five-star properties owned by fashion and property entrepreneur Patrick Pariente and his two daughters.
This newcomer on the ski scene is perched on the slopes near Belvédère and close to Le Rond Point des Pistes, is a ‘ski-in/ski-out’ property featuring 55 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites as well as two private chalets.
After building up an appetite on the slopes, Madame will be returning and spending time in the spa, which offers six treatment rooms, plus indoor and outdoor pools, a hammam and sauna – just the place to revitalise.
Then it’s après ski time – and a choice between the two restaurants. BiancaNeve by Riccardo Giraudi serves fine Italian dishes, but Madame has worked up something of an appetite so she’ll be feasting in the Beefbar restaurant, enjoying rare meat including Australian Wagyu and Japanese Kobe, before mainlining for the dessert buffet and a plate of giant éclairs.
The restaurant’s quirky wall adorned with a vast array of vintage cuckoo clocks will ensure she heads off to bed on time, ready for another day on the slopes.
