Woah Mama! Madame Micebook loves nothing more than a home-away-from-home style environment so she’s already booked in for the hottest hotel launch in London town this autumn.
The super sleek Mama Shelter family, made famous by the eponymous Paris property that exudes eccentricity and accessibility in equal measures, has grown its ranks with the launch of the new Hackney bolthole which opens its doors in September.
Close to both Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green stations, this boutique gem is perfectly at home in East London and Madame Micebook can’t wait to explore the creative hub around the property.
Inside, 195 rooms have been curated by up and coming French designer Dion & Arles while fabrics include coloured macramé and bright Liberty prints.
The 100-seater restaurant will serve family-style dishes at the communal table while the renowned Mama weekend brunch with live music is set to become a popular option for trend-hunters.
Other touches include a giant in-built Twister board, gif booths and karaoke rooms, alongside retro arcade machines. Meanwhile for more clement months, the outdoor terrace with its retractable glass roof provides a sleek spot for al fresco cocktails and parties.
