With Love Island finally over, the spotlight on Mallorca looks set to shift to little sister island Menorca, where a super sleek new hotel from hip hospitality brand Experimental Group is set to open its doors this month.
The vibe may be a lot quieter than Mallorca and Ibiza, but Menorca boasts endless beaches from miles-long sandy crescents to rocky, turquoise-watered bays, ideal for laid-back incentives.
The second property on the Balearic isles, after the popular Experimental Beach Club in Ibiza, the Menorca Experimental is the group’s first resort hotel.
Its set in a transformed 19th century finca on a 40-acre site on the western coast of the island.
The main building features thirty-four rooms with breath-taking views over the Menorcan landscape and Mediterranean Sea, while nine private villas, each boast their own dipping pools.
Chef Sylvain Roucayrol, from France’s Basque country, has designed a menu inspired by the history of the Balearic Island’s cuisine using locally sourced ingredients. Signature to the group’s beach properties, the cocktail bar will serve up craft cocktails overlooking the sunset with the best music on the island.
