With Paris Fashion Week kicking off soon, where else would Madame Micebook be?
Pass the macarons, Madame is off to Paris on the Eurostar and is ready to immerse herself in all things Parisian. And while her reason to travel might be strictly fashion, darling, she’ll be checking out the hottest hotels in town and the 2020 slate of new openings.
Coming soon to the heart of Paris, on the edge of the Seine near the Louvre and Notre-Dame, is the Cheval Blanc Paris. This Art Déco inspired property is a showcase to French craftsmanship with incredible marble and metal works, plus vintage treasures and art throughout the spaces.
The 72 rooms and suites boast panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows with bespoke furniture, with some also offering winter gardens or balconies, beautifully appointed living rooms and dressing rooms.
At the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, a collection of exclusive rituals specially developed for the property is on offer, while the inviting 30-metre swimming pool is hard to resist. The gastronomic restaurant led by chef Arnaud Donckele features the most memorable dishes in an enviable location with striking views.
But Madame’s attention won’t go undivided this trip – she’s also got her eyes on the new Bulgari property, due to open on the exclusive Avenue George V. Its 76 rooms will predominantly be suites, and it will also feature a spa and 25-metre pool, while its restaurant and bar will open out onto a courtyard garden – perfect for a relaxed end of evening cocktail.
And for her final stop, Madame certainly can’t miss a sneak peek at the forthcoming Soho House. Behind a historic Pigalle facade, in what was once the home of Jean Cocteau, this latest property from the private members club will take inspiration from the early 20th Century, which was a very bohemian, eclectic, artistic era for Paris.
