Ten leading luxury hotel brands are set to come together for the second year running to host GLAM – (Global Luxury Aligned for MICE) – a networking event for the UK MICE sector.

Hosted by Dorchester CollectionRocco Forte HotelsBelmondAccorKempinskiCorinthiaFour Seasons HotelsRosewood Hotels & ResortsShangri-La Group, and The Doyle Collection, GLAM will bring together around 100 UK event buyers at Mr Fogg’s Apothecary in London on Wednesday 29 March.

The event follows on from the success of the first GLAM, which took place in March 2022 and saw the brands put aside their competitive nature for one night to collaborate. This year’s GLAM will yet again provide senior buyers with the opportunity to network with their global account directors from all ten luxury hotel brands in one place, enjoy sumptuous food and drinks and be in with a chance to win fabulous travel prizes.

Charla Forinton, director of global sales – groups, at Rocco Forte Hotels, said: “We have continued to communicate over the past year and established a strong rapport and shared respect for one another. There was a demand from clients on the back of last year’s event for us to collaborate again, with many asking us when the next event was, so it made sense to bring back GLAM for 2022. As well as creating a valuable networking opportunity for our key clients, the event gives us the opportunity to raise money for a good cause.”

GLAM have once again partnered with Meeting Needs, and each of the hotel brands have donated some fantastic prizes, which will be offered in a live prize draw on the night as well as an online charity auction (more details to follow once the auction goes live).

Last year’s GLAM raised £9,241 for the South London Cares and North London Cares charities, which tackle loneliness and isolation by bringing older and younger neighbours together.

This year, GLAM will raise funds for with Clowns without Borders, which supports children affected by war, conflict and natural disaster to heal, learn and thrive again through play. Between April and September Clowns without borders will travel to the Gaziantep region in Turkey, where their values-based performances and workshops will aim to create positive, shared experiences and provide emotional respite for children who need it at a critical time.
