Madame Micebook adores her hometown during Fashion Week to check out London’s hottest new hotels…

The tour of fashion week cities continues and this time, its Madame’s home town itself that has welcomed in the glitterati for the February shows.

London Fashion Week brings with it a guaranteed crowd of international tourists, in search of somewhere suitably stylish to stay so lucky then that a slew of new properties will be opening over the next few months and in time for the next season of shows.

Nobu is set to expand its London footprint shortly with the launch of a new boutique hotel in Marylebone’s Portman Square, featuring 249 rooms and suites, a Nobu restaurant, a sleek ballroom and numerous meeting spaces.

Nobu Hotel Portman Square will be followed by The Londoner, an immense 350-roomed property by Edwardian Hotels, which it boldly describes as a “super boutique hotel”, with six concept restaurants for intriguing dine-arounds and two private cinemas plus a spa.

Other properties include the 53-roomed The Guardsman Buckingham Gate, Pan Pacific’s London debut and The Mayfair Townhouse, sister property to the luxury country retreats of Chewton Glen and Cliveden House, set to open in September.

Located on Half Moon Street alongside Piccadilly, The Mayfair Townhouse will open with 172 rooms and suites (including 2 Penthouse Suites and Garden Suites), The Dandy Bar, private gym and versatile event spaces.

The 237-room Pan Pacific London will feature the largest ballroom in the capital’s Square Mile, accommodating up to 400 guests, when it opens this autumn.

In addition to the extensive 464 sqm Pan Pacific Ballroom, which can be subdivided into two separate rooms, the property will offer five-meeting rooms on Level Five and the Level Three Creative Space – a more relaxed, styled meeting space ideal for exclusive hire.
