There’s a beer festival on this month, so Mister micebook is officially incoming…
Every year, the crème de la crème of the Canadian beer community gather in Quebec for the annual celebration that is the Montreal Beer Festival. Think hotly contested competitions with professional tasters, beer and cheese workshops and a full scale exhibition dedicated to the beautiful drop.
The festival is one of number of experiences that this exciting city has to offer and Mister micebook is travelling over this May to explore its cobblestoned streets, filled with Colonial style residences, historic churches and the famed poutineries.
When he’s not checking out the underground city’s sprawling network of interconnected shopping centres, museums and art venues and globally-renowned jazz scene, the hotel offering is also worth a peek.
Montreal’s iconic Golden Square Mile will welcome a new luxury resident this May when the Four Seasons Hotel Montreal opens, bringing an additional 169 guest rooms, 19 suites and 18 residences to the area. The hotel will also include a floor designed for socialising, which includes a restaurant, bar and lounge, plus a contemporary ballroom for 450, with a striking terrace overlooking the city.
While in the city, the boutique properties in Old Montreal are also worth visiting for their pure design ethics and modern art: the Hotel William Gray and Hotel St Paul being two that deserve seeking out.
