Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn’t the only reason that all eyes are on Manchester this Spring…
There’s something of a revival going on in Manchester this year – and we don’t mean on the pitch. In and around the city, the accommodation scene is evolving, from additional new airport hotels in the planning, through to striking business venues and sleek townhouses.
Check out the latest offering by Grzywinski + Pons, where a trio of 19th century cotton mills have been transformed in to an industrial chic bolthole for discerning guests.
Think vintage trade posters, urban sleek decor and a greenery-lined cocktail bar at Whitworth Locke, which describes itself as an aparthotel and cultural hub, set in Manchester’s civic centre.
And the cultural theme continues at the latest project by Capital & Centric – the London Warehouse.
Billed as a ‘democratic place for those with a passion for design and culture’, this huge development is set to launch this spring sprawling out over seven storeys, boasting a 166-room four-star apart hotel. The complex will also include an all-day ‘hangout’ space complete with bar, restaurant, lounge and a mini cinema and gym.
And coming soon to Manchester is the a new 40-room boutique property set inside the stock exchange building. The next property from footballers-turned-hoteliers duo Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs via property firm GG Hospitality is The Stock Exchange Hotel, which will also feature a restaurant and private dining in the wine cellars for up to 100 people, plus function rooms for up to 200 people.
