For day conferences, awards evenings and parties, what matters is how easily people can get there, whether the AV holds up and whether there is somewhere good to go once the programme finishes. Unity Place in Milton Keynes ticks all three, and it sits less than five minutes’ walk from Milton Keynes Central.
It is Santander UK’s Milton Keynes campus, which opened in stages from 2023, and much of the ground floor is open to the public. Delegates arrive through a public atrium, so the building feels connected to the city around it.
The Auditorium is the centrepiece, with bench seating for up to 300 in theatre style, a raised stage and a 6.5m by 3.5m LED screen. Live streaming to other spaces and recording are available, which helps for hybrid events and overflow rooms. Directly above are Event Spaces 1, 2 and 3 on the first floor, all with floor-to-ceiling windows. Event Space 1 takes up to 150 and has a 146-inch main screen. Spaces 2 and 3 are separated by a partition wall, with 2 holding up to 40 and 3 up to 100. That makes it easy to run a main session and breakouts on the same floor.
For evenings, the Urban Food Market can take up to 400 for a reception as part of a multi-space hire, and it has a large digital screen. The Unity Sky Lounge on the seventh floor is the standout for evening events. It is a rooftop bar and restaurant reached by direct lifts, with a terrace and panoramic views over the city. Exclusive hire runs from 5pm to 11pm and includes dedicated event management, drinks and bowl food. The Christmas packages for 2026 cover both the Sky Lounge and the Urban Food Market, with the latter available for private hire from 7pm to midnight with a live DJ.

Catering is by Restaurant Associates, and the brochure puts sustainability front and centre. Dishes are carbon-labelled through Foodsteps, and there is a commitment to halve food waste by 2030. The building itself has solar panels offsetting around 40 tonnes of CO2 a year and is targeting a BREEAM “Excellent” rating. Day delegate packages cover room hire from 8.30am to 5.30pm, event management, AV, refreshments and a two-course buffet lunch.
Getting there is also very easy. A fast train from London Euston takes as little as 30 minutes, and the venue is an 11-minute drive from M1 junction 14. Luton Airport is about 26 miles away and Heathrow about 55 miles. For overnight stays, Unity Place is partnered with the Moxy Hotel in Milton Keynes, and Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Mercure, Leonardo and Kents Hill Park are also nearby. For day conferences, awards evenings and Christmas parties within easy reach of London, it is a strong choice, with a rooftop bar to finish the day.
