Long before Williamsburg, Brooklyn became one of New York’s most sought-after neighbourhoods for boutique hotels, rooftop bars and creative workspaces, Wythe Hotel helped put the area on the map.
Opened in 2012 inside a restored 1901 factory building, the hotel is widely regarded as one of the original Brooklyn boutique hotels, setting the tone for the wave of design-led hospitality that would follow across the borough. More than a decade later, it still feels distinctly authentic to the neighbourhood around it.
The property hosted micebook’s pre-summit reception ahead of its first US C-Suite Agency Growth Summit in New York earlier this month, providing a relaxed but characterful backdrop overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
Located a block from the Williamsburg waterfront, the hotel retains much of its original industrial character, from exposed brickwork and cast-iron columns to reclaimed timber ceilings and large steel-framed windows. Originally built as a cooperage before later becoming a textile warehouse, the building was carefully restored during its transformation into a hotel, preserving many of the original architectural details that give the property its distinctive atmosphere today.
The hotel features 69 loft-style guest rooms and suites, many with sweeping skyline views across Manhattan, combining industrial detailing with locally inspired artwork and understated Brooklyn design.
Brooklyn character with skyline views
Wythe Hotel’s event offering feels intentionally different from more traditional Manhattan meeting venues. Rather than formal corporate spaces, the hotel leans into a more relaxed, residential style that reflects Williamsburg’s creative identity and social energy.
The property offers around 1,208 sqm of event space across six venues suitable for receptions, meetings, dinners and private events for up to 200 guests.

Among its standout spaces is Bar Blondeau, the rooftop restaurant and terrace where micebook hosted its pre-summit reception. The venue combines indoor dining areas with an outdoor terrace and walk-up bar overlooking the Manhattan skyline and Williamsburg waterfront.
The hotel also offers built-in AV, flexible layouts, in-house production support and dedicated event management, alongside catering from Le Crocodile, its acclaimed French brasserie.
Rooted in Williamsburg’s creative scene
Wythe Hotel remains closely tied to the local neighbourhood and creative community surrounding it. Guests are within walking distance of Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Bowl, independent boutiques and galleries, while the Bedford Avenue subway station offers quick access into Manhattan.
For planners looking to move away from conventional city-centre hotels and create events with a stronger sense of place, Wythe Hotel offers a venue that feels both unmistakably Brooklyn and deeply connected to New York’s wider creative culture.
