Nordic brand experience group LIWLIG has appointed Jason Megson as managing director of Liwlig Global as it looks to scale internationally.
The expansion marks a strategic milestone for the group. With many of its clients already pursuing pan-European and international growth, Liwlig said its move into the UK is a natural next step with London “the ideal base from which to build a global offering rooted in Nordic excellence”.
LIWLIG Global will “combine a strong Nordic creative and delivery core with a flexible international layer of senior, globally experienced talent. The model is designed to deliver the strategic and creative impact of a network, without the complexity and duplication of effort that often comes with it”.
Megson brings over 25 years of experience across international brand experience and creative businesses, with a track record of growing and evolving agency businesses for industry-leading groups. He joins from Sparks EMEA (formerly Freeman EMEA) and has held roles at George P Johnson, Ogilvy and more.
Timo Aalto, group CEO of Liwlig Group, said: “Our ambition is to build a business that can compete internationally, and provide a real, fresh and agile alternative. We already have strong foundations in the Nordics, in terms of capability, revenues and working with world-class clients, so the next natural step is to translate that into consistent international growth.
“Jason brings a clear understanding of how to do that in a structured and scalable way. His experience across markets, and his ability to connect creativity with commercial outcomes, will be critical as we expand.”
Megson added: “LIWLIG already has what many are trying to build, a clear operating model, genuine cultural alignment and a way of working that prioritises clarity over complexity. The opportunity now is to scale that in a smart and agile way.
Importantly, we are committed to building something that reflects how clients and industry talent want to work today.”
