Iceland Travel has confirmed that the incentives team from Sena DMC/PCO is joining the company, a move designed to strengthen its presence in the UK and global meetings and incentives market.
As part of the development, Iceland Travel will be represented in the UK by DMC Advantage, which will support visibility and partner relations in the market.
The company said the combination brings together Sena Incentives’ track record in the UK and US with Iceland Travel’s established footprint in Europe and Latin America, with the aim of expanding creative capability, service delivery and global reach for clients.
Two MICE specialists, Sandra Ýr Dungal and Karólína Klara Geirsdóttir, are joining Iceland Travel as part of the transition. Iceland Travel said both will play a key role in strengthening its offering to UK incentive buyers.
Helgi Eysteinsson, director of Iceland Travel, said: “The addition of Sena’s Incentives team enhances our ability to support the UK incentive travel market with deeper expertise and expanded global capabilities. We’re excited to welcome Sandra and Karólína and look forward to what we’ll achieve together,” said Helgi Eysteinsson, Director of Iceland Travel.
Sandra Ýr Dungal added: “We’re excited to continue the work we began at Sena DMC, now as part of Iceland Travel and the wider Travel Connect family. We look forward to creating unforgettable experiences for our partners and taking our service to new heights. This is a new chapter and a great opportunity for us all.”
Both organisations highlighted a shared commitment to responsible tourism and delivering high-quality, sustainable event experiences in Iceland.
