Set to open on 3 February 2026, White Elephant Aspen marks an exciting move West for the luxury hospitality brand best known for its landmark properties in Nantucket and Palm Beach. Located on the corner of Main Street and Garmisch Street in Aspen’s West End, the 54-key hotel places guests steps from downtown and at the heart of the town’s cultural scene, with the Aspen Institute, Harris Hall and Benedict Music Tent all within easy walking distance.
Designed by Boston-based architectural studio EMBARC, the hotel blends Aspen’s traditional alpine character with a boutique feel. The interiors are warm and deliberate rather than themed, using a palette of rust, cognac, warm whites and deep charcoal, layered with leather, wood and stone. Subtle brand signatures, from brass elephant details to bespoke guest room accents, add personality without overpowering the destination-led design.

Accommodation ranges from well-appointed guest rooms to a selection of expansive suites designed with longer stays and hosted groups in mind. Several rooms feature private terraces or balconies, while the top-tier suites stand out for incentive programmes or VIP hosting. The three-bedroom Ajax Penthouse spans 1,560 square feet and includes a chef’s kitchen, real log fireplace and mountain-view terrace with fire pit, while the West End and Highlands Suites offer generous living space, multiple bathrooms and a strong sense of privacy. Thoughtful touches, including nightly turndown with locally made chocolate and in-suite games libraries, elevate the guest experience.
Food and beverage is anchored by the arrival of LoLa 41°, the brand’s signature restaurant concept inspired by destinations along the 41st longitude. Known for its seafood and sushi focus, the Aspen outpost will also feature a speakeasy lounge, positioning it as a natural hub for après-ski entertaining and informal networking. Breakfast offerings highlight local suppliers, while the après-ski menu leans into playful, seasonal creativity.

Art plays a central role throughout the property, with more than 125 original works curated by long-time White Elephant art advisor Emily Santangelo. Guests can follow self-guided art tours featuring established names alongside commissioned pieces, supported by a partnership with Anderson Ranch Arts Center that opens the door to workshops and cultural programming.
For planners, White Elephant Aspen delivers on access as well as experience. On-site amenities include a Boot Lounge with heated ski lockers, a year-round heated pool, hot tubs and outdoor fire pit, plus access to wellness facilities at Base State Longevity. Complimentary BMW airport transfers, courtesy vehicles and a shuttle service to the slopes simplify logistics, while a range of curated winter and summer experiences support bespoke incentive itineraries.
Now open for reservations from February 2026, White Elephant Aspen is a polished new addition to the Aspen market, offering boutique scale, strong design credentials and the kind of operational detail that incentive planners value.
