Venue of the Week: Grand Hyatt La Manga

Venue of the Week: Grand Hyatt La Manga

Venue of the Week: Grand Hyatt La Manga 1024 683 micebook.

Nestled within the vast La Manga Club, surrounded by Calblanque natural park and next to the Mediterranean Sea in southern Spain, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa is the ideal venue r to host any type of events.

The hotel itself has 192 recently refurbished rooms, including six suites and one Royal Suite, all with either golf course or pool views and a balcony or terrace. It’s a detail that matters when hosting a group, as delegates are waking up to somewhere that genuinely feels like a destination, not just another business hotel. Rooms are contemporary and modern with practical touches that go a long way, including 65-inch Smart TVs, Chromecast, minibar, Balmain bathroom amenities and bathrobes and slippers. There’s also a Grand Club offering for guests looking for something a little more elevated during their stay.

When it comes to meetings and events, this is where the venue really comes into its own. The ballroom spans 400 square metres and can be divided into four separate sections, each with individual access and integrated AV. In real terms, that means up to 400 attendees in theatre style, 360 for banquets and 216 cabaret, so it works just as well for large-scale conferences as it does for gala dinners and awards nights.

Step outside and you’ll find a panoramic split-level terrace with stunning views over the golf course and the Mediterranean Sea. This is ideal for coffee breaks, evening receptions, gala dinners or simply letting delegates swap fluorescent lighting for fresh air between sessions. Alongside the ballroom are multiple meeting rooms and boardrooms, offering everything from small spaces for 10 to 12 people through to rooms accommodating well over 150, making it easy to run multi-stream programmes without compromise.

Dining is equally flexible. On-site, guests have a choice of twelve restaurants and bars, from Italian favourites at Don Luigi Trattoria to Asian cuisine at Asia, Mediterranean flavours at Le Buffet and a more gastronomic experience at Amapola. The Last Green Sports & Cocktail Bar offers a more casual option for post-meeting drinks or informal gatherings. Beyond the hotel, the wider resort opens up an even bigger range of dining experiences, including beachfront venues, poolside bars and seasonal restaurants, allowing planners to create varied social programmes without guests ever feeling like they’re eating in the same place twice.

Outside the meeting rooms, La Manga Club becomes a playground for incentive groups. There are three 18-hole championship golf courses, a professional football centre, the prestigious Racquets Club as well as  a Cricket Centre, alongside a modern Fitness Centre and full-service Alma’ spa complete with thermal circuit, ice fountain and hydrotherapy pools. There are also separate adults-only and family pools, which helps when you’re balancing work sessions with proper downtime.

Accessible via Murcia International Airport in around 30 minutes, or Alicante in just over an hour, it manages to feel remote while staying remarkably easy to reach. For planners looking to mix business with sport, wellness and a sense of space, Grand Hyatt La Manga Golf & Spa delivers a confidently different kind of event experience in an idyllic setting.
