Our second micebook LUXE event took place at The Fish Hotel & Retreat, part of Farncombe Estate in The Cotswolds last week, bringing together an intimate group of 50 corporate and agency buyers and luxury MICE partners for two days of content and connections.

And here’s the highlights…

Kicking off with a networking brunch on Monday, the carefully curated programme followed the same successful format as 2024, with each of our partners given the opportunity to present to the group, sharing their news, updates and product offerings.

Guests enjoyed a thought-provoking keynote session on reimagining luxury in an evolving world led by luxury brand expert, entrepreneur and author Markus Kramer, in partnership with Speakers Corner.

An expert in the automotive and the luxury goods sectors with leadership experience at brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari and Vertu, Kramer unpacked status as a powerful psychological and social driver behind luxury consumption, revealing how it subtly shapes behaviour, aspiration, and experience design.

Drawing from historical roots, current trends, and global shifts in consumer sentiment, the session connected the timeless allure of exclusivity, scarcity, and storytelling with the modern demands for meaning, personalisation, and purpose.

Attendees also had a chance to experience duck herding – and while the weather was most definitely better for the ducks – it was a fun and unique way to connect, bringing out everyone’s playful and competitive sides as groups competed for the fastest time.

The day ended with a delicious dinner at The Fish, which we had exclusive use of for the majority of the event, marshmallows cooked over fire pits and music by DJ Ines.

The following morning began with a walking think tank to nearby Broadway – one of the Cotswold’s prettiest villages. With guests divided into small groups and guided by curated topics, it was a refreshing start to the day. After time to explore Broadway, we gathered at the historic Lygon Arms for refreshments and to reflect on and share insights from the topics discussed, which shaped our closing session at the end of the day.

Buyers included representatives from Gartner, Quilter, Avalon Impact, søster, Trinity Event Solutions, asembl, Event Exec, Top Banana, Viva Esprit, Yellow Fish, OrangeDoor, Luminaire Events, Truffl and more.

Partners included our headline partner Accor Luxury & Lifestyle Hotels, Sofitel London St James, and The Savoy Hotel, Sandals & Beaches Resorts, Melia Hotels London, Edwardian Hotels London, Villa Agrippina and Palazzo Cordusio, Matfen Hall, Dunluce Lodge and CMX Events.

Anantara Villa Padierna, DUKES London, Gran Hotel Taoro, MEP DMC, Minor Hotels, Hilton Luxury Brands, The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid, and Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority also attended.
