Brand experience agency Yellow Fish has been certified as a B Corporation, joining a growing movement of companies using business as a force for good.
Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, the achievement demonstrates that Yellow Fish meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability alongside a commitment to goals beyond shareholder value.
“Yellow Fish exists to create stand out experiences for our clients. B Corp recognition commits us to striving to find the balance between people, planet and profit as we deliver experiences around the globe,” said Yellow Fish MD Laura Pace.
“Today’s consumers have rapidly shifting expectations on how we should care for our people and planet, and we have responded ensuring our business, which is dedicated to human centric experiences, is helping to build a better world. Being a Certified B Corp creates a new benchmark for our people, our clients, our suppliers and our audiences.”
The entire team at Yellow Fish were engaged to complete the comprehensive B Impact Assessment, where Yellow Fish scored 97.8 – a score 22% higher than the minimum score of 80 required for this round of certification.
The certification journey took more than a year and was supported by sustainability consultancy Worlds Better. Yellow Fish’s accreditation will be reviewed every three years.
Becoming B Corp certified builds on Yellow Fish’s long-standing commitment to sustainability including its ISO 14001 environmental management certification. From measuring and reducing carbon impact across the whole business operations and launching ‘Yellow Giving’ to support grassroots charities, Yellow Fish has already been rethinking what responsible brand experiences look like.
Looking ahead, the agency will use the B Corp framework to deepen its positive impact setting science-based carbon reduction targets, working with suppliers that share its values and engaging clients in creating events that inspire change.
