There’s a new landmark rising in the heart of Mayfair, and it’s already poised to become one of London’s most prestigious addresses in the events world. Opening on September 1st, 2025, The Chancery Rosewood marks an exciting new chapter for the city’s luxury hotel scene, and we’re delighted to say it will also be the host venue for the micebook Awards 2026.
Situated within the historic former American Embassy on Grosvenor Square, the Grade II listed building has been sensitively redeveloped by Qatari Diar Europe LLP to balance heritage with contemporary design. The architectural restoration is led by British architect Sir David Chipperfield, while interiors by French designer Joseph Dirand set the tone for a modern yet timeless aesthetic.
This is an all-suite hotel, comprising 144 spacious residences that reflect Rosewood’s renowned residential atmosphere. Each suite has been designed with care and attention, celebrating the building’s history while embracing comfort and understated luxury. Many enjoy views over Mayfair, Grosvenor Square and beyond, which is a rare vantage point in the heart of London’s West End.
Food and beverage will be another highlight of The Chancery, with eight restaurants and bars planned. Highlights include the first European outpost of New York’s Carbone, a new Asian concept, and the Eagle Bar, a rooftop destination named after the newly restored 10-foot high, 30-foot wide golden eagle that originally crowned the embassy in 1960. From this seventh-floor perch, guests will enjoy panoramic views across London’s skyline, making it a standout setting for private events or stylish networking receptions.
For the MICE market, the event offering is nothing short of impressive. A state-of-the-art ballroom with capacity for up to 750 guests lies hidden beneath the property, offering a dramatic yet sophisticated space for large-scale gatherings, from gala dinners to awards ceremonies. Several additional meeting and event spaces provide flexibility for conferences, board meetings, and product launches, all supported by cutting-edge technology and Rosewood’s signature service.
Wellness hasn’t been forgotten, with the Asaya Spa, Rosewood’s holistic wellness concept, set to open as part of an expansive subterranean facility. Here, planners will find a fitness centre, a 25-metre indoor pool, and five treatment rooms, ideal for incorporating wellbeing into delegate agendas or incentive itineraries. The property will also feature luxury retail outlets, bringing yet another layer of exclusivity and vibrancy to the guest experience.
Service is where Rosewood properties truly excel, and The Chancery will be no exception. The hotel promises hyper-personalised experiences that go beyond traditional hospitality, curating stays that are culturally enriching and uniquely tailored to each guest. A dynamic cultural programme will position the property not just as a hotel, but as a social and creative hub for both Londoners and international tastemakers.
We can’t wait to welcome the industry here for the micebook Awards 2026, and to see this extraordinary new addition establish itself as one of London’s leading venues for meetings, incentives, and events!
