UK-based representation company hotel republic has added The Lansdowne Club in London to its portfolio.

Located at the south-west corner of Berkeley Square in the heart of Mayfair, the private members club offers seventy-three bedrooms and five meeting rooms including a ballroom.

With a heritage dating back to 1763, Lansdowne House was re-imagined as a leading private Members’ Club in 1935 – welcoming both men and women with equal status from the outset.

The Grade II* listed Ballroom was originally designed by neoclassical architect Robert Adam. Featuring an impressive gilded vaulted ceiling and minstrel galleries, the space can accommodate 150 theatre style, 190 for a banquet and 200 for a reception.

Kai Schomann, hotel republic’s managing director, said: “Central London is one of our bestselling destinations and we are really pleased that we can represent The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair. We are extremely proud to have been chosen to represent the venue to our UK MICE clients.

“Guests and conference planners can expect the highest standards, and it is the perfect place for meetings, conferences, Christmas parties, incentives, and team-building events for up to 200 people.”

The Lansdowne Club CEO and Club Secretary David Herbert added: “MICE business is an extremely important market for our venue, and we like to develop strong business relationships with key players in the meeting industry. We think that the experience, reputation and senior resolute team of hotel republic makes them the perfect partner to support our development in this key market.”
