Venue of the Week: Medley, Dublin

Venue of the Week: Medley, Dublin 1024 683 micebook.

Just a short walk from Dublin’s Grafton Street, Medley has been quietly making its mark on Ireland’s corporate events scene for the past decade. Now celebrating ten years at its Fleet Street home, the venue has unveiled a €100,000 relaunch, refreshing its spaces and sharpening its focus on what modern business events need most: flexibility, exclusivity and a memorable experience from start to finish.

Founded by chef, author and TV personality Andrew Rudd, Medley began life as a stylish dining destination with a strong emphasis on food. Over the years, it has evolved into a versatile private hire venue, hosting more than 4,000 events for clients including Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, Intel, Aldi and AIB. The changes reflect a wider shift in the industry, as corporate entertaining moves away from set formats towards more personalised, immersive experiences.

“Corporate entertaining today is less about three-course dinners and more about connection, creativity, and customisation,” says Rudd, “Clients don’t just want a venue—they want an experience that reflects their values, brand, and vision. That’s the world Medley was built for.”

One of Medley’s biggest selling points is its exclusive-use model. When you book the venue, it’s yours alone, and that privacy allows for full-scale branding, creative theming and a tailored approach to AV and layout. The central location, with easy transport links via Luas and bus, makes it straightforward for delegates to reach, whether they’re coming from across the city or further afield. The space itself spans two floors and 295 square metres, offering capacity for up to 200 seated guests or 300 for a standing reception. The layout is modular, which means it can shift easily between a formal dinner, a product launch, a conference session or a drinks reception. An in-house AV setup, including streaming capabilities, supports both live and hybrid formats, making it a strong choice for planners who want to engage audiences in person and online.

While flexibility is important, the food remains central to Medley’s identity. Andrew and his team design bespoke menus for each event, featuring Irish ingredients and international flavours. Whether it’s a canapé reception or a multi-course dinner, the focus is on delivering dishes that feel thoughtful and distinctive. The venue also offers an external catering service, bringing the same standard to off-site events, and is open to collaborations with guest chefs.

Sustainability is another area where Medley has been proactive, with initiatives such as low-waste menus, LED lighting, water-saving technology and local supplier partnerships already in place. A new loyalty and rewards programme is also in development to support the growing number of repeat clients.

After ten years of adapting to changing needs and expectations, Medley has found a sweet spot, combining the polish of a purpose-built venue with the warmth and personality of a food-led hospitality space. For event planners looking for a central Dublin location that offers both professionalism and creative freedom, it’s a strong contender that continues to evolve with the times.
