Mike Ford, a veteran of the live event industry, has joined THE Agency, a new agency founded by industry experts Sean Dillon and Nicky Meacher.
Ford, who previously worked with Dillon and Meacher at Touch, said that together they aim to disrupt the live corporate event sector, specifically in brand engagement, corporate and leadership events, by delivering powerful “in real life” (IRL) experiences that resonate in an AI-driven world.
THE Agency is built with a mission to prioritise human connection in a world where it has often been lost, leveraging AI to enhance creativity, crafting events that combine technological innovation with a deep focus on human emotions and interactions.
This approach responds to the growing desire for authentic, IRL moments amidst an ever-evolving digital landscape.
“THE Agency is about agility, creativity, fun and impact, we’re free from the constraints of traditional agency structures, allowing us to be agile to meet customer needs, create experiences that truly connect people,” said Ford. “By blending AI’s potential with our passion for human-centric design, we’re redefining what brand engagement and leadership events can achieve.”
Ford brings decades of experience, having grown and sold some of the UK’s largest event agencies. His recent work with Grateful Lemon, his consultancy focused on sparking performance through human behaviour, has further shaped his vision.
“I’m returning to the industry to make a difference – for our team, our clients, and the audiences who crave real, meaningful experiences,” Ford added.
Dillon and Meacher said: “We’re so excited to work together again. His mix of business know-how and thoughtful strategic thinking will help us grow and push what we can offer our clients, and we can’t wait to see where we go next, together!”
They continued: “THE Agency specialises in creating tailored events that foster connection, from high-impact corporate leadership summits to immersive brand activations. Their agile, innovative approach ensures every event delivers meaningful impact, not just more noise.”
