Exclusive Collection is partnering with charity Prept. Foundation to help drive young people’s education, appreciation and positive attitudes around food and cooking.
Prept’s immersive food education programme helps children and young people roll up their sleeves and get cooking. It provides vital skills, food knowledge and connections to prepare them for life. With hands-on sessions in the classroom and off-site visits to working farms and other hospitality venues, Prept serves up positive food experiences that inspire a generation to live happier, healthier lives.
Exclusive Collection will partner with Prept with a focus on South Lodge and neighbouring Lainston House where a £5,000 donation will be used to support three local secondary schools and teach more than 100 children how to cook and prepare them with fundamental skills for the rest of their lives.
Each school will receive a bespoke programme suited to their childrens’ knowledge and needs; from food from around the world, prepping meat and fish to plating up with a pro chef.
Prept. Foundation was conceived by Dan Wade, Jess Aggarwal and Tom Surgey with the ambition to develop foundations and the UK’s future foodies. Exclusive Collection’s partnership with Prept will be overseen by Danny Pecorelli, MD of Exclusive Collection, who is an advocate for education and development of emerging talent.
Danny Pecorelli comments: “Learning, development and promoting a career in hospitality is a big focus for Exclusive Collection. Our partnership with Prept widens our reach to help inform and educate secondary school children and complements our existing graduate programme and specific food and beverage and chefs’ academies for school and secondary education leavers.”
