Yellow Fish has announced the appointment of award-winning writer, director and producer Freddie Hutton-Mills as head of film.

Hutton-Mills has an impressive track record in film, TV and brand storytelling. His work includes films Boiling Point, Genesis and Devil’s Playground, alongside over 160 episodes of the cult hit Takeshi’s Castle.

His expertise spans working with global brands like Red Bull, ExxonMobil and Virgin and most recently, Microsoft – where he was central in producing close to 200 stories for key Microsoft clients as well as play a key role in shaping Microsoft’s AI narrative.

As Head of Film, Freddie will drive storytelling innovation at Yellow Fish, pushing the boundaries of the medium across industries and formats.

His appointment reinforces Yellow Fish’s commitment to bold, original narratives that engage and inspire audiences – whether through filmmaking, immersive experiences or creative production. Freddie strengthens Yellow Fish’s commitment to building a collective of channel specialists to craft experiences that truly bring brands to life.

Commitment to Diversity is important to both Freddie and Yellow Fish, and Freddie’s latest directorial venture, Rooted Out, is a self-penned feature film that will explore unconscious bias and star Nadine Mills (Supacell), with Yellow Fish serving as an associate producer.
