Almost 700 event profs came together at Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s this week for our biggest ever micebook EXPO.

We were thrilled to welcome more than 400 corporate and agency buyers over the two days who participated in more than 2,000 pre-booked appointments, as well as hundreds of additional meetings and networking with 185 exhibitors from across the UK and the world.

Highlights from the first day included our Agency Deep Dive, which saw a panel of experts from BCD M&E, Touch and Reed & Mackay tackle how to balance evolving employee needs with the realities of working in the events industry.

Our keynote speaker Stefanie Sword-Williams, founder of platform and event series F*ck Being Humble discussed the importance of building relationship currency in the workplace, the significance of self-promotion and aligning personal goals with career aspirations, the value of mentoring, both traditional and reverse, and creating memorable moments in the workplace to enhance engagement and collaboration.

Other topics on day one included pushing the boundaries in incentive travel, AI, the value of values, food trends and more.

We also revealed our inaugural Power 30 Most Sustainable Event Agencies 2024/25 list in partnership with event:decision and supported by Encore EMEA and Wyboston Lakes (find out who made the list here), followed by a drinks reception.

Day 2 kicked off with a Corporate Panel session, featuring corporate event heads from CACEIS, Zurich Insurance, PwC and AFME, which focused on ROI measurement and reporting in event management, the shift to incorporating sustainability reporting into post-event analysis to engage stakeholders further, and the importance of having a solid data system in place, such as a global CRM, to ensure accountability and collaboration between sales, marketing, and product teams.

Our keynote speaker, multi-award-winning marketing leader and behavioural scientist Lea Karam, explored leveraging behavioural science to create impactful events, covering the importance of understanding psychological principles like optimism bias and social norm, and the significance of community and audience insights to enhance event engagement.

Throughout the two days, attendees enjoyed spending time in our rainforest-themed marketplace created by our amazing partner EPH Creative, and featuring a diverse range of suppliers including Meetings Inn, Event Apprenticeships, Better World Bars, Sternberg Clarke, Aura Works and USED Creative Circular Marketplace.

Attendees also took part in activations including Confident in Colour: A Colour matching pop-up with Vicky Booker, Tarot by Afrolion, Flicksbox Photo Booth Experiences, DJ Workshops by Ynez, hand reflexology by Hoar Cross Hall and had the opportunity to create customised bags, bottle and mugs with YR ID.
