Get ready to step into one of the most renowned cultural landmarks in London in a way never before possible. The Natural History Museum has just elevated its venue hire offerings with two extraordinary new options that are sure to inspire event planners and guests alike.

For the first time ever, event organisers can now book exclusive, full-day hire of the entire Museum. Yes, you read that right – the whole Museum is yours to create a truly unique and unforgettable event. Imagine guests wandering through the iconic Hintze Hall, or maybe hosting a conference where attendees can soak up inspiration in areas like the Wildlife Photographer of the Year or the Dinosaur Gallery, which is home to a six-metre Stegosaurus. This is a rare opportunity to see the Museum in a whole new light and make it the unique backdrop for launches, conferences, and events.

Robert Wetherell, Head of Events and Catering at the Natural History Museum said; “The Natural History Museum is a celebrated venue with its sweeping Romanesque arches and intriguing specimens around every corner including the awe-inspiring Hope – a 25-metre blue whale skeleton.

“We’re delighted to share the wonder of the Museum in a new way this year as we introduce, for the first time, the opportunity to exclusively hire the Museum for a full day, as well as opening our brand-new Garden Kitchen.

“We’re on a mission to create advocates for the planet, and hosting events at the Museum helps us to support the vital work of our 350 scientists, who are finding solutions to the planetary emergency.”

Introducing the New Garden Kitchen

The Garden Kitchen is a sustainable timber and stone building situated within the museum’s beautifully curated gardens, making it ideal for summer parties and evening receptions. The Garden Kitchen features an open-plan design with wooden beams and expansive windows that fill the space with natural light. Guests can walk out into the tranquil Evolution Garden, enjoying drinks surrounded by vibrant greenery and perhaps a dinosaur or two. This space holds up to 300 people for standing events or 100 for dinner, making it a showstopper for any occasion.

For more intimate gatherings, the Garden Room is a purpose-built meeting space within the Garden Kitchen. This area features floor-to-ceiling windows that frame views of the gardens, and can host up to 70 attendees for meetings or private dining. Architects Feilden Fowles designed the Garden Kitchen with sustainability at its core, perfectly complementing the Museum’s mission to protect the planet.

An Iconic Backdrop for Every Occasion

Of course, the Museum’s existing spaces remain as impressive as ever. From the grandeur of Hintze Hall to the immersive exhibits of the Earth Hall, the Darwin Centre, and the ever-popular Wildlife Photographer of the Year Gallery, these spaces provide a truly iconic setting for any event. With the Natural History Museum’s expanded offerings, your next event could be one for the history books. Whether you’re envisioning a show-stopping event across the entire museum or an intimate evening in the Garden Kitchen, this venue promises to deliver an unforgettable and incredibly unique experience.
