Day 1 (Monday 27 January)
Our keynote speaker on day one, Stefanie Sword-Williams is the founder of platform and event series F*ck Being Humble. Named as Forbes Under 30 and celebrated as a confidence expert, Stef has 10 years of public speaking experience, and her talks have reached people in over 50 countries globally.
Her session, ‘Virtual Connection, Real Impact: Strengthening Team and Client Relationships in a Remote World’, will explore strategic ways to raise your profile in person and virtually, considering how you can provide value to people when you’re not in the same location as them.
In our Agency Deep Dive, a panel of experts form agencies including BCD M&E and Touch LifeSciences will tackle the topic “Redefining Workplace Culture: Balancing Employee Needs with the Realities of the Events Industry”. This session will cover how to reconcile the evolving needs of employees, especially the next generation, with the relentless demands of delivering exceptional events and explore practical approaches to managing long days without sacrificing team morale or wellbeing.
‘AI: A Multigenerational Perspective’ will bring together a unique mix of perspectives – from industry veterans to the next generation of event planners – to explore the real-world potential of artificial intelligence. Join Al Turner, author of the ibtm World Trends Report, alongside Nick Fagan, Creative Technologist at DRPG, and a panel of “bright young things” from the University of East London.
The ‘What’s New in Food’: Quiz Show will delve into what’s driving the latest shifts in event catering. From avoiding beef to embracing wild game like deer, this interactive quiz show by Lime Venue Portfolio takes a light-hearted yet insightful dive into the hottest food trends. Why is counting carbon more impactful than counting calories? Can salmon ever truly be sustainable?
Looking for an innovative way to unite your teams, community groups, or project partners? Don’t miss ‘Building Belonging: Ignite Connection and Collaboration’. At the heart of the session is the Wheel of Belonging – a groundbreaking framework designed to spark meaningful connections, fuel collaboration, and drive progress.
Monday afternoon will also feature a closed session for our nineteen ‘Agency Leaders Group on Leading to Win: Are You Leading or Lagging?’ by Toby Bassford, Founder and Managing Director of Tillon Ltd.
And finally, on day one, we’ll be revealing our Power 30 Most Sustainable Event Agencies 2024/25 list in partnership with event:decision and supported by Encore EMEA and Wyboston Lakes and sharing highlights from the data collected, including which are the most popular accreditations in agency sustainability and more.
Day 2 (Tuesday 28 January)
Multi-award-winning marketing leader and behavioural scientist Lea Karam is one of the most sought-after and disruptive experts in consumer behaviour, featuring on renowned behavioural science networks and platforms in the media and marketing industry.
Her keynote session ‘Gain a Behavioural Science Edge: Build Events that Inspire and Influence’, will unlock and explore the psychology of influence, connection and interaction to craft transformative, memorable experiences that drive lasting success.
In our Corporate Deep Dive, a panel or corporate event heads will tackle the topic: “Future-Proofing Events: Strategies for Success in a Dynamic Landscape”. Gain insights into the latest shifts in event formats and audience engagement preferences to create more relevant and engaging experiences and learn practical strategies to align event objectives with stakeholder priorities using data-driven methods that ensure strong ROI and buy-in.
This will be followed by a closed session for corporate buyers on Vulnerability in Leadership’ led by Matt Guiver. It will highlight how leaders who embrace their authentic selves, acknowledge their weaknesses, and show how empathy can foster trust, transparency, and stronger connections with their teams and stakeholders.
The desire for fresh, exciting and authentic experiences is growing among incentive attendees, which means incentive planners are having to break away from the tried-and-tested to explore newer off the beaten track locations. In ‘Pushing the boundaries: where next for incentive travel?’ our panel of incentive experts will share highlights from the new and exciting destinations they have recently taken groups to, and which new up and coming destinations they have their eye on for 2025 and beyond.
