Pure Communications Group delivered a global CX conference at Woolwich Works, attracting over 1,000 attendees from 50+ countries, including New Zealand, Japan and Australia. We get the lowdown…

Client: NICE
Target Audience: Clients and Prospects

Brief

The event is an annual conference, which takes place in London, and is aimed predominantly at NICE’s EMEA market. Its goal is to facilitate networking, bring together customers, present new products, and provide updates and forecasts. Having delivered this event in the past, Pure was brought on this year, as a full-scale partner on the project. In line with its 2024 service expansion, the agency supported not only on logistics, but also executed all production and strategic content development, including content design, creative branding, and on-site technical support.

With the conference being an annual flagship event, there is a constant emphasis on innovation and delivering something different. The client brief specified a captivating experience that would attract large numbers of guests and demonstrate a year-on-year increase in attending prospects.

Solution

The invite-only conference took place over two days, offering a mixture of plenary sessions, breakouts and networking opportunities, all accompanied by top-level entertainment.

The speaker line up was no less than star-studded. Steven Bartlett addressed the audience, talking about the importance of swift decision-making and learning from failures, only to be followed by a closing performance from the legendary Fatboy Slim.

This year, Pure worked closely with the client to adapt content from their US flagship event to match their strategic targets in the EMEA region. On the day, the team managed the content delivery, taking over the show-calling and technical aspects of production. Pure also ensured all content was queued, VOGs were played and stage furniture arranged between each session.

Following the conference, Pure delivered a 2.5 day off-site to Bath for the company’s C-suite. This gave top executives the opportunity to meet and get to know colleagues from other global offices through group activities, including a bespoke exploration of the city and an impromptu cocktail experience, fitted in, as weather conditions halted a planned hot air balloon ride.

Results

Compared to 2023, the event saw a 30% growth in registrations, exceeding its set target, and drew an impressive 26% surge in attendance. This year, prospects made up a significantly larger proportion of attendees (almost 30%, up from 2023’s 21%), while the seniority of attendees also increased, with 10% more VP/Director-level guests attending than in 2023.

Thanks to Pure’s greater integration into the project, the agency was able to build a cohesive and unique identity for the conference, which delivered key messages across all touch points, from comms, through content, to production, resulting in a 94% attendee satisfaction rate.

The client marketing lead described Pure as a “true partner” and great to work with. “ The event was seamless. When I walked out after the last session, heard the violinist and saw the waiters lined up with drinks so nicely and Fatboy about to start, it made me so happy. What a close! I can say wholeheartedly the strongest event close I’ve experienced and worked on in over 20+ years of marketing.”
