Award-winning climate comedian, podcaster and speaker Stuart Goldsmith, Sean Currie from Stay Grounded and Humankind’s Lior Steinberg have joined our line-up of expert speakers for micebook Ventures 2024.

micebook Ventures is a sustainable summit for purpose-driven event industry leaders, which is founded on the 1:1 buyer-supplier meetings model but with a unique focus upon how we can ‘transform the world of business events as a force for good’ – and why we need to.

This year’s event is taking place in post-Olympics Paris on 4-6 November and will feature thought-provoking content sessions under the 2024 theme ‘Green2Gold’, alongside meetings, networking and live activations outside the meeting room.

Paris 2024 is making Sustainability and Social Impact, rather than monumental construction its chief legacy, so what better location for Ventures 2024, focused on innovation, environment and distributive systems-thinking as a core business strategy for long-term, profitable success?

Our speakers will share their insights on two key sub themes: Jet Zero or Bust – Exploring the future of aviation and sustainable transport solutions; and Cities of The Future – Deciphering the best destinations for major events amidst urbanisation and climate challenges.

Stuart Goldsmith (pictured left) is a highly respected stand-up comedian, podcaster and corporate speaker. He has won awards and critical acclaim for his stand-up performances about the climate crisis and how to cope with our feelings about it. This year, Stu brings a creative, engaging and energetic approach to the dual role of speaker and debate moderator.

Stay Grounded is a global grassroots network of 200+ science-based, action-oriented organisations campaigning against the aviation industry and for a just mobility system. We’ll also hear about current progress on emissions reduction, new-gen sustainable fuels and latest advanced aviation technologies from another sector expert, to be announced.

Sean Currie (pictured middle) is part of the international campaigners’ team and has over a decade of experience in political and social changemaking around Europe. Sean also sits in the Council of Europe as an elected youth advisor and writes a newsletter on how to win social change.

Lior Steinberg (pictured right) is an urban planner and co-founder of Humankind, a Rotterdam-based agency for urban change. He helps cities to look beyond functionality and to plan urban spaces that make people smile. All the projects Lior participates in have one thing in common: they create people-oriented cities.

As with our previous editions, Ventures Chapter III will bring together leading event buyers and suppliers, with Barbican, Jumeirah, ACC Liverpool, Sodexo, Vienna CVB, Handpicked Hotels, Hoxton Hotels, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, Chicago Is…LLC (a Global DMC Partner) among the companies confirmed to attend.

Our event partners for 2024 include Eurostar, Accor Hotels, TOO Hotel MGallery Collection, Ikebana and Grip.

Join us in the vibrant City of Light on a journey of innovation and sustainability. In the aftermath of the Olympics, Paris offers a unique opportunity to reflect upon the power of events as a Force for Good while experiencing some of the special new meetings and events opportunities arising from the legacy of the Games.
