It’s less than two weeks to go until our flagship event, micebook EXPO kicks off, and if you’ve yet to sign up for your free place, here’s a little teaser of some of the thought-provoking content we have lined up…

Day 1 (29 January)

Start the day with a Desk Reflex and Office Aromatherapy Workshop with Hoar Cross Hall and learn how to melt away those meeting stresses through the teachings of acupressure points and the fragrant art of aromatherapy. Set your intention for the day with a guided breathwork session with EventWell to help you focus, enhance your performance, your productivity and reduce any mental and physical fatigue.

Step into the forefront of the Workplace Revolution where Generation, Sustainability, and DE&I form discussion points aimed at igniting change and shaping future workspaces.

Agency leaders including Alex Hewitt CEO, AOK Events and Viola Corsini, senior director of operations, Meetings Management and Life Sciences at BCD Meetings & Events, will share their insights, sparking participatory dialogue among attendees through Buzz Hub discussions.

Find out how events teams can harness AI ethically across sales and marketing in an interactive session with AI expert Katie King, voted a leading AI Strategist and Top 10 AI influencer in 2023, in partnership with Speakers Corner.

Sustainability is about more than counting carbon – the social benefit of events is of equal importance. Matt Grey, founder of event:decision, will provide insights into how you can assess, benchmark and certify the overall sustainability of your event, including the social benefit of holding your event.

Understanding the intricacies of a venue and how it can affect an experience can make or break an event. In our ‘Knowledge is Power’ workshop aimed at industry newcomers, Helen Carmichael, account director, Venue Search, BCD Meetings & Events will walk through how to get the most out of your site visit, from learning how to prepare for success (such as site research, risk assessment, and contingency planning) through to the nuances of communicating with various stakeholders involved in the site visit process.

Join Marie Stafford, global director of Wunderman Thompson Intelligence to gain insights into planning campaigns and experiences through the lens of re-enchantment, where the new brand metrics are jaw drops, heart swells and goosebumps.

Day 2 (30 January)

The second day will kick off with a Corporate Panel session, led by event strategist and former VP and global head of event strategy at SAP, Nicola Kastner, who will be joined by corporate event heads at SAP and Copper Technologies.

Together, they will delve into strategies for fostering successful collaborations and partnerships between corporations and event management agencies. The conversation will be rich with real-world insights, exploring the nuances of collaboration that drive extraordinary event experiences.

Corporate event planners will then be invited to join a closed corporate only session also led by Kastner, to discuss data driven event design and other key trends.

Learn how to incorporate experience into every step of your conference or event in Crafting Exceptional by Design with Samme Allen, CEO & founder of The Attendee Experience Company (atex) in partnership with Megan Garmers and Daniel Doyle of Streamline Social.

In Capturing Hearts and Minds, you’ll hear insights from three perspectives on designing for Belonging with Pigalle Tavakkoli, experience designer, educator, trainer, Founder and Director of the School of Experience Design, Naomi Clare Crellin, CEO of Storycraft Lab, and founder of the Experience Profiles, and Onyinye Udokporo, entrepreneur, educator, neurodiversity consultant and author of ‘Dyslexia & Me’.

We’ll examine the power of Emotion, Data and Dialogue in the design process, share insights from the intersections of academia and corporate applications and discuss Belonging in practice, and how compelling case studies can be used to advocate for Belonging-Centered-Design.

The Attendee Experience Company (atex) together with in partnership with Megan Garmers and Daniel Doyle of Streamline Social will be supporting with hosting and facilitation through the two days to ensure the content sessions are interactive, with Neil Hudson-Basing returning as our host.
