Vicki Martin, former head of global events at Wendy Welsh Events, has joined the micebook team as senior event manager.
She brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role, having worked agency side at both Kuoni Events and Wendy Welsh Events.
This includes travelling the world organising predominately high-end incentives for many different industries, including luxury automotive, financial services, healthcare and fashion brands at Kuoni, and creating a range of events for clients in the financial services sector at Wendy Welsh. She was also involved in organising incoming groups to attend the London Olympics 2012.
Martin will work alongside micebook event director Ceri Bruce, delivering and driving creativity within micebook’s growing event portfolio including EXPO, Internaitonal Women’s Day, LUXE, Ventures, the micebook Awards and more.
“After an incredible 11 years at Wendy Welsh Management, I’m thrilled to be joining the micebook team. I’ve really admired what micebook has done to bring our communities together and learn and develop from each other,” she said.
“Whether a big player in the industry or a boutique business, they’ve always been inclusive for all, which I love! I can’t wait to bring my agency experience to the team and help create outstanding events for our industry.”
Chetan Shah, micebook CEO and founder, added: “I have known Vicki for a few years and her energy, enthusiasm, experience and downright likeability makes her an excellent addition to the team and bolsters our event delivery offering, which was needed given the new events such as LUXE we have introduced into the event calendar. She is well known and respected in the sector, and we look forward to her joining.”
