Connie Magner, former account director at Northstar Travel Group, has joined micebook as part of our continued expansion, which has seen several new team members appointed in the last three months.
In her new role as commercial director at micebook, she will be responsible for driving sales across our growing events and media offering and developing our UK and international client portfolio.
Magner has an established career in media sales that spans 30+ years, predominantly in B2B, including roles at CAT Publications, selling across the whole CAT portfolio, including M&IT magazine and the M&IT Awards, and most recently at Northstar Travel Group which acquired CAT.
Prior to that she held roles at global travel retail publishers The Moodie Davitt Report, global B2B online database company, Kompass, and Reed Business Information, where she worked across titles including Community Care, Farmers’ Weekly and The New Scientist.

Magner’s appointment follows two new appointments in our events team, and a new digital marketing assistant.
Ceri Bruce joined micebook in March as head of events, along with Francesca King as senior event manager.
With experience in the fashion, beauty, luxury travel, art and entertainment sectors, Bruce has worked on multiple freelance projects over the past several years for agencies including eveology and was formerly head of operations at This is Beyond, where she worked alongside King.
With over 10 years’ experience in the festival, luxury travel and media event industry, King will work alongside Bruce on developing, delivering and driving creativity within micebook’s growing event portfolio including EXPO, Ventures, the micebook Awards and more.
Aimee Franklin has also joined as digital marketing executive and will be supporting the team on all micebook projects.
