Calling all female event professionals – there are just a couple of days left to secure your ticket to our exclusive International Women’s Day event next week, which promises to be a thought-provoking and inspiring day around the theme of ‘A New Pathway to Leadership’.
Taking place on Monday 6 March at Mandarin Oriental London, the event aims to bring together female leaders from the event industry with the next generation of talent to inform, inspire, and educate through keynote sessions, panel discussions, collaborative workshops and more.
New speakers confirmed include Kate Munday, Professional Storyteller & Coach at Out The Box Speakers and Creative Business Partner at Google, who will lead a lively session at the end of the day on ‘Owning your Career Capital’, which will cover how to network effectively and how to quickly form genuine, long-lasting connections through the way you communicate.
Health & Wellbeing expert Lavina Mehta MBE will share insights on ‘Maintaining optimum health on the pathway to leadership’ and host a panel session discussing the unique health needs of women and how to ‘thrive not just survive’ the rollercoaster ride that is a career in MICE. She will be joined by Charlotte Gentry, Charla Forinton and Lizzie Mildenhall on the panel.
Jess Charles will lead a panel discussion exploring why and how women in our sector have created their own career pathways; one that plays to their strengths and better serves their needs and ambitions.
They join our keynote speaker Lorraine Heggessey, famed for being the first ever female BBC One controller, who will share her experiences from the world of TV and insights on what it takes to be an effective and inspirational leader in a fast-changing world, in partnership with Speakers Corner.
The day, which is being hosted by Samme Allen, founder and CEO of Conferenceemcees.com, will also feature sessions with Sheffield Hallam University’s Emma Abson PhD, who will share insights into a research study on women’s experiences of developing leadership careers in the event industry, and Manila Di Giovanni, founder of DWorld, which creates an interconnected metaverse platform for smart cities globally with their respective virtual economies starting from the Principality of Monaco (in partnership with Visit Monaco).
The evening programme, open to everyone will include more content, networking, a celebratory drinks reception and entertainment.
