Matt Grey, founder of event:decision, is launching a new tool at micebook Ventures this week that will help event agencies and businesses measure how they live up to their core values.
Called purpose, the tool will measure and track whether a certain value – or set of values – is being demonstrated throughout an organisation and how that varies across specific teams, thereby enabling companies to gain rich insights into opinion by team, function or location.
Clients can access this data in a shared dashboard, along with verbatim comments, sentiment analysis and behavioural framework. They can do this over a preferred period, from companywide surveys twice annually to constant customer and supplier feedback. Everything is included within the annual per head licence fee.
Grey said: “Companies and agencies in the events industry continue to publish bold statements about their core values and behaviours, so we want to support their effort by measuring how effective these are in practice.
“And not just quantifying how well their own team sees their values, but externally too. purpose provides the culture analytics tools to align your culture with what you need to execute your strategy. To view the culture you need, diagnose the culture you have and close the gap.”
Evie Manuel, strategy partner at event:decision, added: “With talent shortages across the industry, it’s even more important that companies practice what they preach. If you can understand where you measure up against your values, it allows you to focus on the areas that will have the most impact, to attract and retain talent.”
