We’re thrilled to reveal Liverpool Cathedral as one of the host venues for micebook Ventures 2022, which is taking place in the city on the new dates of 31 October to 2 November.
One of Europe’s largest Cathedrals, the spectacular neo-gothic venue will provide the backdrop for dinner on the second night of the three-day programme, which will focus on solutions for transforming the world of business events as a force for good – in the debating chamber, in the meeting room and through live experiences.
Not only is Liverpool Cathedral a fantastic venue for memorable events of all kinds, but it also does amazing work through its social justice arm to help sections of local society that are suffering or disadvantaged and has an ambitious objective to become carbon neural by 2025, making it the perfect fit for Ventures22.
Lucy Rafferty, events & logistics manager at Liverpool Cathedral, said: “We are honoured to be able to host the dinner. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with this important audience.
“The partnership works perfectly, and we’re really excited we can be part of this and spread the message that it’s not just about profit, it’s about connections and what we can contribute to our own society.”
Micah, Liverpool Cathedral’s social justice charity provides emergency food aid and a volunteer programme that supports people back into work. By hosting their events at Liverpool Cathedral, businesses are contributing towards this important work, as well as keeping the cathedral free entry and available to all.
Liverpool is unique in that it boasts two cathedrals just a few minutes apart – giving event planners the choice of two fantastic unique venues. Located at the other end of the aptly named Hope Street, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King (Catholic) is vastly different in architecture from Liverpool Cathedral but also majestic and beautiful.
As with all micebook events, Ventures has community at its heart. It will bring together event industry buyers and suppliers to learn, develop, and make valuable connections to help them create better, more sustainable and more impactful experiences.
The event takes place on Monday 31 October to Wednesday 2 November in the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool, with venue partners including Spaces at the Spine – the new £55m headquarters of the Royal College of Physicians’ and one of the UK’s healthiest and most intelligent buildings – the brand-new Novotel Paddington Village, and Liverpool Cathedral.
