Be among the first #eventprofs to check out Manchester’s hottest new property – Hotel Brooklyn – and look ahead to what the next decade holds for the events industry at our next event in partnership with London & Partners.
Save the date in your diaries for the Hotel Brooklyn opening event – Wednesday 1 April – and register now what promises to be exciting and educational experience.
The event will feature an afternoon of inspiration and learning focused around the theme “Events 2030” and planners based in Manchester, the surrounding areas and beyond are invited to attend.
Events (in our opinion) will still be the number one engagement and marketing tool in 2030. However, what will an event look like for an attendee by the end of this decade? How will they travel, communicate, connect, absorb content and cascade information? That’s what we’ll be focusing on in a 90 minute content session kicking off the event at 4pm.
“As with every decade the next 10 years will see huge transformations in the event industry, through tech and AI, the experience economy, sustainability, mediums of engagement, consumer and employee needs and wants,” says Paul Black, head of business events at London & Partners.
“As a city London too is in the midst of an exciting period of huge regeneration and evolvement. We are excited to be partnering with micebook again in Manchester to learn, network and engage with some of our key partners to discuss what EVENTS2030 means to them and their businesses.”
Further details of content and speakers will be revealed shortly. We’ll also be running a short training session on micebook boards at 3.30pm, showcasing how event planners can use the platform to store and share destination and supplier intel with colleagues using “Pinterest-style” Boards.
The design sleek Hotel Brooklyn has just opened in the heart of Portland Street, Manchester and takes its name from the hip NYC borough. The 189-room property pays homage to Brooklyn’s history from early 20th century to the present day, referencing its enviable culture and edgy style.
Large public spaces welcome guests for coffees or cocktails, while the cosy Snug features an open fireplace plus a record player, perfect for spinning a record from the extensive Manchester music collection. On the top floor of the hotel, Salvation is Hotel Brooklyn’s dedicated events bar, featuring exposed brick work, pop art and neon lights to create a lively destination bar for the UK’s preeminent Northern city.
