With the climate emergency intensifying, Mister Micebook heads off on the rail trail…
Mister Micebook loves a Eurostar escape, and with many travel experts predicting a rise in interest in rail travel, he’s hotfooted it to London’s St Pancras station for a short jaunt to Brussels.
And given that his resolution for 2020 is to embrace wellbeing, he’ll be staying at the Hygge Hotel, lounging around in its Scandi-style living spaces, staring upwards at the striking details on the lights and the ceilings.
After a dreamy first day, it’s off to the Hotel Indigo, to check out Brussels’ recently rebranded property, which opened its doors last year. The hotel has embraced a tropical vibe due to its proximity to the city’s Botanical Gardens, and inside its verdant green ground floor, the SERRA brasserie offers an all-day dining menu with healthy organic cuisine.
And finally, a hard hat tour of what is set to be one of the most creative hotels for visitors to Brussels. The nhow Brussels will open this summer, inspired by the city’s art galleries, with minimalist rooms designed to represent a blank canvas, with entrances featuring a bold colour pop. Other details include 19 meeting rooms for up to 350 people, private dining experiences and the hotel’s own waffle van.
