Frankfurt is firmly in the spotlight this week as the global events industry descends on the city for the annual IMEX exhibition. So, it’s the perfect time to check out Frankfurt’s newest and upcoming arrivals on the hotel scene…
Intercityhotel Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Süd
The new flagship of the IntercityHotel brand opened its doors in December at Frankfurt’s main train station. Featuring 400 guest rooms, six conference rooms accommodating up to 180 delegates, a bar, restaurant and new interior design concept created by the Italian architect Matteo Thun, it’s now the largest property in the IntercityHotel portfolio. Guests can check in and out by using the convenient “Hotelbird” mobile app and also have the option of using their smartphone to open the door to their room.
The Diaoyutai Mansion Frankfurt
The first European hotel by the Asian hotel group Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality (main picture), is set to open this year with a unique interior and exterior inspired by original Chinese materials and design. Ideally located between the Frankfurt financial district and the international airport, the hotel’s 214 rooms and suites will all offer views of the park or the city’s skyline. Features include the authentic 136-seat Pinju Chinese restaurant, including four private dining rooms, an all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine, a lobby lounge and bar and two karaoke rooms for budding singers. With more than 1,500 square metres of event space, including a 550sqm ballroom and 1,000sqm event terrace, The Diaoyutai Mansion can cater for a range of events.
Ruby Louise Hotel
In a central location surrounded by Frankfurt’s skyline, Ruby Louise Hotel will be opening in 2020. Parallel to the famous shopping street ‘Goethestraße’ as well as within walking distance of the ‘Alte Oper’ (Old Opera) and the ‘Zeil’, Ruby Louise will be well suited for both meeting and incentive groups. Spread out on seven floors, the property will offer 218 rooms in the classic Ruby Lean Luxury Design. Further highlights will include a skybar as well as the 380m2 rooftop terrace high above the city.
Hyatt House Frankfurt/Eschborn
Due to open by the end of this year, Hyatt House Frankfurt/Eschborn will mark the second Hyatt House in Germany. Offering 190 rooms and apartment-style Kitchen Suites with fully equipped kitchens, comfortable living rooms, spacious bedrooms, the hotel will be located in Frankfurt Eschborn, a well-established business area on Frankfurt’s Ring Road, known to be the city’s international financial and economic centre. It will be closely followed by the opening of the 180-room Hyatt House Frankfurt/City Goetheplatz in 2020, which will be part of the mixed-use development Four Frankfurt in the centre of the city.
