Just one short hop, skip and jump on the Eurostar away, the stunning City of Light has an allure that never fades. And for one weekend at the start of October, its lights will not dim as the annual Nuits Blanches shines out across the city.
From 6-8 October, spotlights, neon, floodlights and of course moonlight will shine on ‘White Night’ as artists create installations, exhibitions and concerts and trails across the city for visitors to explore once dusk falls.
Three distinct trails have been created in different locations while a number of Parisian modern art museums will open their doors for free all night to encourage in visitors on their journey. Public transport remains open all night to enable spectators to visit as many of the avant-garde installations created for this very special night.
Once you’ve exhausted your inner art critic, settle down for the night at one of the latest openings in the city. Paris welcomes a slew of new luxury hotels and boutique properties each year and the past 12 months has been no exception.
For an utterly opulent experience, the Hotel de Crillon is an enviable choice. This Rosewood property was once the residence of the Duke de Crillon and its recent four-year transformation has absolutely restored it to proper palatial standards.
