Concierge Please! A table at Ottolenghi’s latest London launch…
Smoke, fire and vegetables – that is the promise at Yotam Ottolenghi’s new restaurant, Rovi, located in the very heart of Fitzrovia.
The chef’s latest launch in the capital has centred its menu around vegetables, the on-trend method of fermentation and cooking over fire.
Its calming Scandic-cool interior is complemented by a friendly and knowledgable team that encourage diners to kick off their culinary experience with a tipple from the cocktail menu, made with seasonal spices and house shrubs.
Kick off with the hearty onglet skewers with beef fat mayonnaise and fermented green chillies accompanied with the Jersey Royal potatoes smoked on top of hay and slow-roasted cauliflower with crispy chickpeas, tahini and fermented chilli salsa.
The wine list is curated from small producers only, an excuse to try a couple, plus the small deli on site means that sated appetites needn’t miss out on the cakes.
