Europe’s capital of cool and city of culture never fails to inspire…
Mister micebook’s a man of culture you know, and this February he’ll be getting his fix over in Berlin.
February kicks off with the Independent Film Festival, championing low-budget arthouse indie flicks and is swiftly followed by the glamorous Berlinale, the international film festival which welcomes the largest global audience of any film festival in the world. And across the city, galleries and museums will be embracing the ethos of the revered Bauhaus design school, which celebrates its centenary in 2019.
The German capital has a number of new hotels to check out this spring. InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its 100th Hotel Indigo property in the capital.
The Hotel Indigo Berlin East Side Gallery boasts 118 rooms and features graffiti blocks and a vibrant colour scheme, inspired by the famous Trabi car.
Meanwhile in the nearby neighbourhood of Berlin Friedrichshain in the heart of the city’s new Entertainment District a new hotel from Hampton by Hilton has opened. Featuring 254 rooms, the Hampton by Hilton Berlin East Side Gallery is situated next to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
The city’s reputation as a hedonist’s paradise has remained unchallenged and should Mister micebook wish to relive the techno nights of his youth, Tresor, Berghain and Kitkat will all provide memorable ends to the nights.
