Radisson Blu Glasgow has hit refresh with a £15 million transformation that brings a new look and serious upgrade to its meetings and events spaces. The project has completely reshaped the hotel’s look and feel, creating a stylish, functional base for meetings and events right in the heart of the city.
The investment began in 2023 with a full redesign of the 247 bedrooms, a new entrance, and upgraded lifts. Now, the focus has turned to the hotel’s 12 event spaces. Every detail has been reconsidered, from layout and lighting to AV capability and catering. The interiors were created in partnership with Glasgow’s own Timorous Beasties, known for bold patterns and a playful take on local design. Their influence shows in the layers of texture, colour, and subtle nods to the city’s creative spirit. The result feels current without losing the sense of place that gives Glasgow its edge.

Across 1,611 square metres of meeting and event space, the hotel offers a layout that suits can be adapted for any event. The ballroom can host up to 800 delegates for a conference or 550 guests for dinner. Nine smaller rooms cater to team training or brainstorming sessions, while two dedicated breakout bars offer relaxed corners for networking, coffee breaks, or post-session catchups.
Hina Rubbani-Mills, general manager, says: “As we’ve been on this journey to improve our guest experiences, we’ve carefully planned our meetings and events spaces to ensure we can meet and exceed the needs of all gatherings, small and large,” she explains. “Working alongside Timorous Beasties has allowed us to infuse local touches and create spaces that provide inspiration for all delegates and attendees.”

Catering has also been refreshed with two new pantry-style areas for informal lunches and coffee breaks. It is a simple but smart change, giving groups the flexibility to eat, meet, and reset without leaving the venue. For something more substantial, The Grahamston Restaurant and Bar serves a menu rooted in contemporary Scottish dining, open to both hotel guests and locals. The location remains one of the property’s biggest advantages. Sitting on Argyle Street, just a short walk from Glasgow Central Station, the hotel connects easily to Glasgow Airport and the wider city. Delegates have shopping, dining, and culture on their doorstep, while event organisers gain the reliability of a well-established, full-service venue.
