Known first and foremost as the home of the British Grand Prix, which welcomes hundreds of thousands of F1 fans each year, Silverstone is so much more when it comes to meetings and events.
On a recent visit, I discovered the full breadth of its offer, stayed overnight at its new luxury Escapade residences, and even enjoyed an early morning walk on the legendary track (sadly in the rain, but it was still a great experience, and one that is available to corporate groups too).
Business development manager Judi Oliver showed us around the venue’s impressive spaces and experiences.
Meeting and event spaces
With five vast halls, each with eight-metre-high ceilings, mezzanines and vehicle access, Silverstone is built for scale and spectacle. The halls can host up to 1,000 theatre-style or 600 for dinner, while 40 pit garages provide almost 6,000 m² of flexible space, perfect for everything from evening receptions and concerts to sit-down dinners for 900.
Seventeen further meeting rooms, many inspired by Formula 1 spaces such as Race Control and the International Media Centre, cater for groups from six to 300. There’s also a 100-seat auditorium, famously used for F1 driver press conferences, and plenty of trackside terraces with unrivalled views.
“Sometimes people think of us as just being about big events, but that’s not the case” says Oliver. “You don’t have to take the whole site — you can hire a garage block, a paddock space or even a section of the pit lane depending on what you’re trying to achieve. Our team will work with you to shape the right experience.”
Beyond the meeting space, Silverstone excels in incentives and team building. From track days and pit-stop challenges to yoga on the pit lane, walking or biking the track, prize-giving on the podium and simulator racing in the museum, creative options are endless across its 600 acres.
Accommodation options
The newest addition to Silverstone, Escapade Silverstone brings a new level of luxury trackside. The collection of 60 residences offers 128 apartments or 184 bedrooms, blending high-spec design with spectacular views. Choose between Trackside, Dual-Aspect and Countryside views, with the Trackside apartments overlooking the circuit.
It’s not just about the views, though. The Escapade team have curated dining and social spaces that make the most of their setting, while ensuring the experience feels exclusive, relaxed and connected to the energy of Silverstone.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner in The Gallery restaurant accompanied by a fantastic sunset over the track. There are several spaces that can be privatised for small meetings and dining, and for larger celebrations, the Veuve Clicquot Roof Deck is sure to wow guests with its panoramic views over the iconic Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit.
For larger groups, the Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone offers 197 bedrooms connected directly to the Wing via a covered walkway. Opened in 2022, the property has quickly become a hub for both corporate and leisure guests, with trackside rooms, a rooftop terrace and easy access to the venue’s event spaces.
Together, Escapade and Hilton give Silverstone nearly 400 rooms on-site, with additional options including woodland glamping for corporate festivals.
What’s Next
Despite the huge investment and innovation of the past few years, Silverstone isn’t standing still. A brand-new FIA-approved karting track is set to open later this year, adding another string to its bow and broadening its appeal for corporate groups looking for high-energy team activities.
Kart Silverstone is already offering taster sessions, with plans to scale up for corporate groups and full events. This track will bring high-speed fun and competitive excitement to corporate programmes, perfectly aligned with the venue’s motorsport DNA.
Groups will be able to book sessions for team challenges, time trials or relaxed warm-up driving. The karting hub will also feature its own diner, making it easy to combine racing, dining and networking.
With karting soon live, Silverstone will be able to offer three tiers of motorsport engagement under one roof – the full circuit, simulators and karting – giving event planners more flexibility than ever to match ambition and budget.
I was impressed not just by the size and scale of Silverstone, but by the flexibility it offers – the options are almost endless, and the passion from Judi and the events team for offering clients unique and creative event solutions shines through.
From high-octane track experiences to luxury residences and vast blank-canvas spaces, Silverstone has evolved into a destination in its own right. Add in its sustainability credentials – it now ranks joint third in the world for racing circuit sustainability – and it’s clear that the venue is not just keeping pace but leading the pack.
